My Suggestions For Coping With Summer!

Hey Whovians, hot day isn't it!

Most of us love the summer and some of us can't bare it...so I bet a few of you are wondering how to cope with such heat and I know today probably wasn't the hottest but it's still quite warm don't you agree? So...ponder no more for I have devised a few small but effective ways of defending against the heat! So here goes:

1. For defending against the heat you should probably keep a small to medium pot or tube of suncream and aftersun in your bag. Ready for those unexpected warm spots in the unpredictable British weather. So, I wouldn't want that beautiful skin to burn or tighten up.

2. Well keeping a pair of sunglasses and a stylish sun hat with you is a simple and effective every day solution to have so it protects your head and eyes from getting bleached or terribly hurt by the harsh sunlight and UV rays. Plus your hair gets too hot and it makes you feel like you are hot, uncomfortable and sweaty. No-one likes that! Am I right?

3. A third way is to always keep a bottle of water topped up when you're out and about as you may never know when you may need some, keep hydrated!!! But what about when you're just lounging around at home and padding around in light weight clothes and bare feet? I say keep some windows open and always keep a glass of cold refreshing water (or your favourite cold drink) with you while relaxing.
Oh... and I nearly forgot one more point just before going to bed fill a small to medium non-spill-able glass or mug of water and take it up with you to put beside you (on a bed side table) or on a flat non-mark-able surface.

-If you have any other ways of coping with the heat please also comment! I want to read what you all do to cool down!?- :-P

So... Keep Cool, Keep Hydrated in the warm weather and from a fellow Whovian and Sherlockian I say, stay awesome, stay cool! H.LOKISMITH x

All About PROM!

Hello Lovely Whoniverse!

Well there's this thing that happens at the end of your senior year of high school, which you all probably know as PROM! That for me happened on the 27th June 2014!

Peoples expectations of PROM are to be more along the lines of this, when in reality the experience is far from it!

More like girls in short puffy dresses thinking that it flatters your figure and features when all they do is make you look bloated, and in addition they only reach up to the thighs and those long fake nails with the white nail varnish that really only has the plastic looking ends on them... yucky!

Well it's finally been and gone! Although, I didn't go anyway, though it's strange that the whole way through year 11 the only things that people talk about and think about is getting your results and best grades from the final exams of school; other wise known as the dreaded GCSE EXAMS *dun! dun! dun!* and the other thing that most people think about is PROM - I don't see what's so special about an American tradition.

So that's part of the reason why I didn't go! (and yes you read right, I didn't go!) I was being my usual stubborn self so I wasn't going to let something that was an American tradition define me, define who I am as a person.

Anyway, moving on ...

There's another thing that has happened recently that sort of ties into this and it happened to be a really awesome friends graduation from university; she studied fashion and is now beginning adult life... properly which is also concludes this post I'm also moving on to a new chapter in my life. Studying A levels at HEHS sixth form, but possibly going to college and beyond... eventually!

So... from a fellow Whovian and Sherlockian I say all the best, and hope you all enjoy this, H.LOKISMITH x

Long time, No see!... Well actually it's been a month-ish!

Hello Whoniverse!

So I feel as though we haven't talked to each other in a while even though it has just been a month as I last shared an update in May, to be specific 25th May 2014.

But, to be honest, what's there really to share other than the fact that I've got the freedom from my exams, there's another Anti-Bullying award ceremony I have on 15th July at school that I have to attend,(which will be the second ceremony for the one Anti-Bullying thing since I had one last year too), and then my brother has a history trip to a museum in London.

Also a family member has recently been re-admitted to hospital at his own request after being out from the 6 weeks he was in there previously - and during my GCSE exams as well,(which is fine, but a bit odd), I have also got the GCSE results day coming up in a months time (21st August!!!), as well as the new series 8 of Doctor Who being back on air on the 23rd August - this being two days after my results day - which for me as a whovian is an exciting day! :) Anyway more to come regarding this and other exciting news...

From a fellow Whovian and Sherlockian I say all the best, and hope you all enjoy this, H.LOKISMITH x
